Although systematic literature reviews have emerged in the health field, they are a great support for researchers in other areas, since their main goal is to understand the work on a given topic and to identify the main authors and the different perspectives adopted. For this work, the technique was applied to the Communication Abstracts database, to map the research on hate speech: what are the most analyzed topics, which groups are the most studied and which are the most main perspectives and methodologies used. After analyzing a total of 85 articles, it was possible to conclude that, since the 1990s, there has been a great interest in the legislative and regulatory aspects, which has been complemented, in the last few years, with a widening in the field of the type of content present in hate speech.
